Epidemic
1 John 4:19 says, 'We love because He first loved us.'
Jesus intends us to be His radical disciples who reflect the amazing love we have been shown to the people around us. This is what Epidemic is all about. We aim to infect society with Jesus' love.
'As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends.'
John 15:9-13
With these words, Jesus calls us to follow in His footsteps by laying down our lives for the good of others. This is what it means to love as we have been loved.
The command is hard, but the encouragement is sweet. Jesus promises that when we love others as we have been loved,
